The day began in Amarillo, TX and we drove through New Mexico and back into Arizona.  Along the way, we stopped briefly in Winslow and spent some time in the Petrified Forest, the Painted Desert and the Meteor Crater.  The day ended with a spectacular lightning show in Flagstaff.
